Feature · Customer credit

Sell on credit. Get paid.

Credit keeps customers loyal: the farmer who pays after harvest, the clinic that settles monthly, the regular who pays on Friday. poso lets you give it without losing track of it.

Short answer

poso customer accounts let you sell on credit at the till or by invoice, set a credit limit and payment terms per customer, record part payments by cash, mobile money or bank, send statements, and see who owes what and for how long in an aged receivables report. The Home dashboard shows the total customers owe and opens the unpaid invoices.

Features

Choose the customer at the till and pay with "customer account", or raise an invoice for larger orders.

Credit limits

Set a limit per customer. poso warns you when an order or invoice would take them over it.

Payment terms

Due on receipt, 7, 30 or 60 days, or after harvest: each invoice gets a due date.

Part payments

Record partial payments by cash, M-Pesa, MoMo or bank. The balance updates straight away.

Statements

Print, email or share a statement showing every invoice, payment and the balance.

Ageing

See balances by age: current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90 and over 90 days.

A simple collection routine

  1. WeeklyCheck the aged receivables report. Anything overdue gets a friendly message with the statement.
  2. At the tillCheck the customer's balance before selling on account. A customer over their limit pays something before buying more on credit.
  3. MonthlySend statements to every account customer, even those who are up to date.
  4. QuarterlyReview limits: raise them for customers who pay on time, lower them for those who don't.

For policies, terms and when to stop supplying, read credit management for wholesalers and agrovets.

Who uses customer credit

Agrovets selling to farmers and cooperatives through the season, wholesalers supplying pharmacies and clinics on 30-day terms, and pharmacies with corporate or regular customers who settle monthly.
