Your data is yours.
Your products, prices, customers and accounts are the record of your business. Here is how poso keeps them separate, protected and always exportable.
poso keeps each business in its own separate database, encrypts connections between your device and our servers (HTTPS), backs up databases, controls access with personal logins and roles, and lets you export your data to Excel or CSV at any time. If you stop paying, your shop becomes read-only rather than deleted, so your records are never held hostage.
What we do
A database per business
Your data is never mixed with another customer's in shared tables.
Encrypted connections
All traffic between your browser and poso uses HTTPS.
Backups
Databases are backed up regularly so they can be restored if something goes wrong.
Access control
Every person has their own login and a role that limits what they see and do.
Activity history
Changes to stock, sales and accounts record who made them and when.
Protected infrastructure
Servers sit behind Cloudflare's network protection, and administration access is restricted.
What you control
| You can | How |
|---|---|
| Decide who sees what | Give each user a role: cashier, store keeper, accountant, manager, owner |
| Remove access | Deactivate a user when someone leaves; their history stays |
| Export your data | Products, customers, suppliers, sales, stock and accounts to Excel or CSV |
| Leave | Export everything, then ask us to delete your database |
Good habits
- Never share logins. Each person gets their own, so every action is traceable.
- Use a strong, unique password and change it if you think it has been seen.
- Lock the till computer when stepping away.
- Remove users the day they leave.
Personal data
How we handle personal data, such as your customers' names and phone numbers, is set out in our privacy policy. You own the data you put into poso; we process it to provide the service.
Security questions
Is my pharmacy data safe in the cloud?
poso keeps each business in a separate database, encrypts connections, backs up data and limits access by role. For most shops this is safer than a single computer in the shop, which can fail, be stolen or be infected.
Who owns the data in poso?
You do. You can export it at any time.
Can poso staff see my data?
Only when needed to provide support or keep the service running, and only authorised staff.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your shop becomes read-only so you can export everything. On request, we delete your database.
Where is my data stored?
In secured data-centre infrastructure operated for poso. Contact us if you need specific details for compliance.
