Feature · Purchasing

Buy what sells. On time.

Running out of a fast seller loses sales; overbuying ties up cash and ends in expired stock. poso tells you what to buy, from whom and at what price, and checks every delivery and bill.

Short answer

poso purchasing covers requests for quotation, purchase orders, receiving deliveries (with batch and expiry dates), supplier bills matched to what was received, supplier price lists and lead times, and reorder rules that list what to buy before you run out and draft the purchase order for you.

Purchasing questions

Can poso create purchase orders automatically?

Yes. Reorder rules list what needs ordering, and poso can draft the purchase orders, grouped by supplier, for you to check and send.

Can I record batch numbers when receiving stock?

Yes. Batch numbers and expiry dates are entered or scanned at receipt for every tracked product. See batch and expiry tracking.

How does poso handle supplier credit and payment terms?

Each supplier can have payment terms, such as 30 days. Bills show their due date, and you can see what is due this week or overdue.

Can I compare prices between suppliers?

Yes. Supplier price lists hold each supplier's price and lead time per product, so you can choose who to buy from on each order.
