Privacy policy.

Effective 2026-10-29

This policy explains how poso ("we") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit poso.co or use the poso service at app.poso.co and your shop's address. Contact: hello@poso.co.

Our role

For data about our own customers (the businesses that subscribe and their account users), we decide how it is used. For data that our customers put into poso about their own customers, suppliers and staff, our customer decides, and we process it on their behalf to provide the service.

What we collect

  • Account details: names, business name, email, phone, country and login details of people who sign up or are invited as users.
  • Billing details: plan, invoices and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment providers, not stored by us.
  • Service data: the products, stock, sales, customers, suppliers and accounts you record in poso.
  • Enquiries: what you send through our contact, demo and sign-up forms.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device information and logs needed to run and secure the service. The poso.co website does not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

  • To create and run your shop, provide support and send service messages (for example trial and billing reminders).
  • To bill your subscription.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To reply to enquiries and, if you agree, send occasional product news. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run poso (hosting, network protection, email delivery, payment processing), under contracts that require them to protect the data; professional advisers; and authorities when the law requires it. These providers may process data in other countries; we take steps to protect it when they do.

How long we keep it

Service data is kept while your subscription is active and for a limited period after it ends so you can export it, then deleted on request or after that period. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Security

We keep each business in a separate database, encrypt connections, back up data and restrict access to authorised staff. See our security page for more.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict some uses, and to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us to exercise these rights. If your data was entered into poso by one of our customers, contact that business first; we will help them respond.

Children

poso is a business service and is not directed at children.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the effective date above. Significant changes will be notified to account owners. See also our terms of service.
